The posting

Job description

DC Byte is the leading provider of market data, research, and intelligence for the global data centre sector. At the heart of an industry that quietly keeps the world connected, our technology-led platform empowers the key players designing and developing digital infrastructure to make high-stakes, multi-billion-dollar investment and strategy decisions.

We deliver the most accurate, real-time, and unbiased insights into colocation and self-build enterprise assets worldwide—supporting developers, investors, and operators, including the world’s largest hyperscalers. We’re looking for an outstanding Developer to join our team in Bulgaria and help us accomplish our mission to become the most trusted provider of intelligence and commercial insights in the global data centre and digital infrastructure world.

If you have a knack for creating clean and scalable code, building platform enhancements, improving data visualisation, and want to work in a company that helps its clients make billion-dollar decisions every day – read on!

This role is a fit for you if:

  • you have experience with JavaScript (React, Node.js, GraphQL) with Typescript,
  • you're familiar with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress
  • you have designed a data model from scratch for a new feature — thought through the schema, relationships, and indexes, and evolved it with migrations as requirements changed
  • you have experience building a complex, stateful interface — something with forms, validation, optimistic updates, or real-time data — not just static pages
  • you know how to write meaningful tests (unit, integration, or end-to-end) that caught regressions and gave the team confidence to ship
  • you're comfortable working in a scrum environment
  • you're familiar with AI coding assistants as part of everyday development — for scaffolding, tests, refactors, and exploring unfamiliar code faster
  • you treat AI output as a first draft, not a final answer: reviews it as carefully as a teammate's pull request, verifies correctness, and never merges code they don't fully understand

In this job, you will:

  • Develop and Maintain Code: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code based on design specifications and development guidelines.
  • Implement Features and Fix Bugs: Build new features and resolve issues in the codebase according to technical specifications and user requirements.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in regular code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality and team collaboration.
  • Testing & Debugging: Write unit tests and perform debugging to ensure reliability and maintainability of the codebase.
  • Automated Testing: Perform unit and automated testing to uphold high code quality and minimise regressions.
  • Feature Design & Prototyping: Collaborate on the design and prototyping of new features, ensuring alignment with the system architecture and user experience goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless feature delivery.
  • Performance Optimisation: Identify, monitor, and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure high application performance and responsiveness.
  • Security Compliance: Apply necessary security patches and ensure the codebase complies with industry security standards.
  • Code Refactoring: Continuously improve existing code for better readability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex bugs and technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

Job benefits

  • 25 days annual leave (excl. bank holidays), increasing to up to 29 days with years of service
  • Christmas Week closure
  • Private health insurance
  • Multisport card
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Generous anniversary rewards, incl. access to career coaching, vouchers for days out and a holiday stipend

Salary range

20,000 – 35,000 EUR Annual

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
