Ervaringsdeskundige doof of slechthorend die voorlichting wil geven

MEE Rotterdam Rijnmond verzorgt voorlichtingen over het leven met een beperking.

Er worden voorlichtingen gegeven over visuele, auditieve, motorische en verstandelijke beperkingen, over chronische ziektes, autisme en NAH. Bij iedere voorlichting is een ervaringsdeskundige aanwezig. We zijn op zoek naar een enthousiaste vrijwilliger die het leuk en belangrijk vindt om te vertellen over hoe het is om slechthorend of doof te zijn.

De doelstelling is deelnemers te enthousiasmeren om met doven en slechthorenden te werken en meer begrip te kweken. Ook beantwoordt hij of zij vragen van de deelnemers.

De voorlichtingen worden gegeven aan studenten van MBO en HBO opleidingen, maar ook aan vrijwilligersorganisaties, wijkteams, loketten van de gemeente en maatschappelijke opvang.

De lessen duren anderhalf uur. Je wordt individueel opgeleid door een trainer. Onze trainers hebben de basiscursus Nederlandse Gebarentaal gevolgd. Bij iedere voorlichting is een tolk gebarentaal of schrijftolk aanwezig en een medeweker van MEE.

Wij zoeken:

  • Iemand die over zijn doof zijn/slechthorend zijn durft te praten
  • Leeftijd vanaf 16 jaar
  • Enthousiaste uitstraling
  • Ervaring is niet nodig
  • Overdag beschikbaar
  • Je kunt zelf aangeven hoeveel uren jij je hiervoor beschikbaar wil stellen

Wij bieden:

  • Leuk en zeer nuttig vrijwilligerswerk
  • Vrijwilligersvergoeding van €15 per voorlichting, plus reiskosten
  • Begeleiding van MEE bij elke voorlichting
  • Opleiding
  • MEE regelt de tolk
  • Contacten met andere vrijwilligers, 2x per jaar een uitje
