Overview

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Retail Lead to join our team at the Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. As a Retail Lead, you will be responsible for supervising the performance of team members in your specific department. Unit Description

Yellowstone General Stores are located throughout Yellowstone National Park including near Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Canyon Village. The locations offer the opportunity to explore more than 1000 miles of hiking trails, 40 waterfalls, and 10,000 hydro-thermal features like hot springs and geysers. We offer dorm-style employee housing or full-hookup RV sites. We also offer an employee meal program, store discounts, and recreational activities in Yellowstone National Park for our team members.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and trains retail associates; completes store/warehouse operational needs by assigning employees and following up on work results
  • Verify that merchandise is properly stocked and attractively shown
  • Ensure selling space is in clean and proper condition
  • Uphold orderly back stock and liaison with vendors to maintain proper inventory
  • Assists guests and team members, escalating concerns or questions to supervisor or manager as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to de-escalate guest and team member complaints or concerns and redirect to management
  • Previous experience leading in a retail space is preferred
  • No high school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

  • Long-term standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds
