Overview

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Retail Supervisors to join our team at Yellowstone General Stores for the 2027 season in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and training retail team members and working to maintain retail standards, policies, and procedures.

Unit Description

Yellowstone General Stores are located throughout Yellowstone National Park including near Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Canyon Village. The locations offer the opportunity to explore more than 1000 miles of hiking trails, 40 waterfalls, and 10,000 hydro-thermal features like hot springs and geysers. We offer dorm-style employee housing or full-hookup RV sites. We also offer an employee meal program, store discounts, and recreational activities in Yellowstone National Park for our team members.

Responsibilities

  • Trains Team Members and works to maintain retail standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors store floor, and assists with guests' needs and requests.
  • Maintaining merchandise tables properly
  • Works with and answers to the Visual Merchandiser and the Store Manager and Asst. Manager.
  • Regularly evaluates, creates, and maintains professional visual displays; provides direction to retail associates regarding store merchandising and displays.
  • Ensures integrity of physical inventory and par levels.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail areas
  • Responsibly for initiating conflict resolution strategies with guest and team members

Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year supervisory experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and prepare written reports.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Basic math skills: ability to accurately handle money and count change
  • Prior Netsuites experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Constant standing, lifting, climbing stairs, and repetitive motions
  • Bending, reaching, and climbing on ladders
  • Able to stand entire length of shift
