Job Description
Ambitious goals. Strong team. As a Director, Business Development and Strategic Projects, you'll lead a portfolio of cross-functional projects that shape where our vendor business grows next. You'll turn ambiguous questions into clear strategies, advise senior leadership, and see initiatives through together with brands like foodora, talabat, foodpanda, and PedidosYa. Your work will influence how our vendor products, from onboarding and order management to advertising, help restaurants and shops grow their business.
You'll work directly with the VP of Strategic Vendor Programs on the most important projects in the Global Vendor Vertical. The Global Vendor Vertical develops products and services for more than 1 million restaurants across ~65 markets.
As part of our Vendor Team, you'll be the driving force behind the success of thousands of restaurants, shops, and local businesses. Your contributions will empower vendors with advanced tools to manage their operations, boosting their visibility and reach. Every feature you help build will create growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes, strengthening Delivery Hero's ecosystem and impact.
- Lead a portfolio of cross-functional strategic projects that grow our business and improve the performance of our vendor products and services
- Own new growth and performance initiatives that strengthen our relationships with customers and restaurants
- Advise senior management on strategic topics, enabling decisions through data-driven analysis and hands-on support
- Assess industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify concrete opportunities for our business
- Develop new strategies from the opportunities you identify, and adjust existing strategies when their assumptions change
- Keep senior stakeholders across Delivery Hero and our brands aligned, with regular updates on the progress of your projects
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in strategy or business development in a fast-paced environment. Extensive experience in top-tier strategy consulting firm is a huge plus.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous information from different parts of the business into clear recommendations
- Regular experience working with C-level executives, with excellent written and spoken English to communicate complex topics clearly
- A track record of solving tough problems with creative, strategic solutions, while staying hands-on with the details and getting up to speed quickly on new topics
- Strong prioritization skills, with a focus on delivering value fast rather than aiming for perfection
- Proven stakeholder management and experience leading cross-functional teams in an international, multicultural environment, raising the standards for yourself and others while creating an environment where people can thrive
