COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Merkle, a dentsu company, powers the experience economy. For more than 35 years, the company has put people at the heart of its approach to digital business transformation. As the only integrated experience consultancy in the world with a heritage in data science and business performance, Merkle delivers holistic, end-to-end experiences that drive growth, engagement, and loyalty. With more than 16,000 employees, Merkle operates in 30+ countries throughout the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Temporary Business Analyst to lead business analysis activities across enterprise digital experience initiatives within the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.

In this role, you will serve as a key connection between client business stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams, translating business objectives and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for Adobe-based solutions. You will work across platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites, AEM Assets, Edge Delivery Services, Adobe Workfront, and other Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities.

This is a client-facing role requiring someone who can independently lead discovery and requirements activities, facilitate complex stakeholder discussions, identify gaps and dependencies, and help shape solutions rather than simply document requests.

You will partner closely with client stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, UX teams, developers, QA teams, and delivery leadership throughout the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and solution definition through implementation, testing, and release.

The ideal candidate brings strong Business Analysis fundamentals, significant Agile delivery experience, and hands-on experience working within Adobe Experience Cloud implementations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead requirements discovery and analysis for Adobe Experience Cloud implementations and enhancement initiatives.
  • Plan and facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, requirements sessions, and solution-definition discussions.
  • Translate business objectives into capabilities, epics, features, user stories, functional requirements, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Independently own requirements for significant project workstreams from discovery through implementation.
  • Partner with Adobe solution architects and technical teams to evaluate business requirements against platform capabilities and technical constraints.
  • Help stakeholders distinguish between business needs, solution requirements, and implementation preferences.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and conflicting requirements and drive them toward resolution.
  • Recommend practical solutions when business requests conflict with Adobe platform capabilities, established implementation patterns, or project constraints.
  • Develop clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria that enable development and QA teams to execute effectively.
  • Own backlog quality and requirements readiness for assigned initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile delivery ceremonies.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to support backlog prioritization and sequencing.
  • Maintain requirements traceability from initial business objectives through implementation and validation.
  • Coordinate requirements across business, UX, content, development, integrations, analytics, and QA workstreams.
  • Lead functional support for QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario review, requirement validation, defect triage, and functional clarification.
  • Support release-readiness activities and validate that delivered functionality addresses the intended business need.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, governance models, business rules, and operating procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, translating between the two when necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3+ years of Business Analysis experience within digital experience, marketing technology, enterprise technology consulting, product delivery, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering enterprise solutions within the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.
  • Hands-on Business Analysis experience with Adobe Experience Manager, specifically AEM Sites and/or AEM Assets.
  • Experience gathering and defining requirements for AEM capabilities, workflows, content models, authoring experiences, asset management, or related platform functionality.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading requirements discovery and requirements-management activities.
  • Strong experience working within Agile delivery environments, including Scrum-based delivery.
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, documentation, backlog activities, and delivery coordination.
  • Significant experience supporting Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing, including requirement validation, test scenario review, defect triage, and functional clarification.
  • Strong experience developing epics, features, user stories, functional requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience facilitating discovery workshops and requirements sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and how Business Analysis supports discovery, design, development, testing, and release.
  • Ability to independently manage a project workstream and drive requirements from ambiguity to an implementable solution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex enterprise delivery environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience with multiple Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities is highly desirable, including:

  • Adobe Experience Manager Sites
  • Adobe Experience Manager Assets
  • Adobe Edge Delivery Services
  • Adobe Workfront
  • Adobe Content Hub
  • Adobe Dynamic Media
  • Adobe certifications are a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
