About the Role

As a WES Implementation Engineer, you’ll help bring DCS’s Warehouse Execution System (WES) software to life in client distribution centers. Reporting to the Director of Software Delivery, you’ll work directly with clients to gather requirements, implement software solutions, and support testing, commissioning, and end user training.

You’ll contribute hands-on technical expertise and lead software delivery activities in partnership with clients, suppliers, developers, and the broader project team. This role requires approximately 60%–75% travel to client sites. We’ll count on your reliability, creativity, and commitment to learning to solve problems and follow through. You’ll bring a service-minded approach to supporting clients and teammates while helping deliver successful projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with clients and suppliers to gather requirements and implement DCS software solutions in distribution centers.
  • Configure and commission software at client sites, with approximately 60%–75% travel.
  • Train end users to confidently operate the DCS software solution.
  • Help develop implementation standards and support integration with PLC-based controls systems.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and collaborate with the Software Development team to resolve findings from internal quality assurance testing and onsite commissioning.
  • Coordinate with the broader material handling project team to communicate software delivery status and support testing milestones.
  • Contribute across quality assurance, implementation, support, and IT activities as project needs require.
  • Support technical innovation and continuous improvement by staying current on relevant technologies and industry developments.
  • Represent DCS and the Software team with professionalism, ethics, and integrity.

We’re Excited About You Because...

  • You have experience with material handling equipment or software and implementing software solutions for clients.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • You’re comfortable using the Linux command line to troubleshoot application issues.
  • You understand computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, and can help troubleshoot communication between software applications.
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Office, API tools such as Postman, and software project management platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • You’re willing and able to travel approximately 60%–75% to support client implementations.
  • You communicate clearly and work effectively with clients, management, and teams across disciplines.
  • You take ownership of your work and deliver results with minimal supervision, including in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • You approach complex problems creatively and can manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • You strengthen our culture by being reliable, learning oriented, bold, easy to work with, and a problem solver.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
