Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, in partnership with King's College School, Wimbledon and RDFZ Beijing, is seeking an outstanding Teacher of IGCSE & A-Level Biology to join our learning community from February 2027.

The successful candidate will teach Biology across IGCSE and A-Level, delivering engaging and academically ambitious lessons while helping students develop strong scientific knowledge, practical investigation skills, analytical thinking and the ability to apply biological concepts to real-world challenges.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

  • Degree in Biology, Biological Sciences or a closely related field
  • Recognized teaching qualification, license or certification, such as UK QTS/PGCE or an equivalent US, Canadian or Australian teaching credential
  • At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience
  • Experience teaching Biology at IGCSE and/or A-Level
  • Experience teaching within a Secondary or Senior School setting
  • Experience with the Cambridge IGCSE and/or A-Level curriculum
  • Able to meet Chinese work-permit requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging, academically rigorous IGCSE and A-Level Biology lessons
  • Develop students' understanding of key biological concepts, including cell biology, genetics, ecology, physiology and evolution
  • Design and lead practical investigations that develop students' experimental, observational and analytical skills
  • Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Biology examinations
  • Use assessment and feedback to monitor progress and support independent learning
  • Contribute to Biology enrichment through scientific projects, competitions, practical activities and other academic opportunities
