Motion Graphics Producer

Location: The Daily Mail Headquarters, Derry Street, HSK, London, W8 5HY.

Position:12 months FTC

Job Introduction

Daily Mail has major ambitions to set a new standard for the quality of its content, on-site and across platforms. We are looking for a creative and highly skilled Motion Graphics Producer to elevate the look and feel of our original video content. Working across the Daily Mail website, social channels, and YouTube, you’ll craft visually striking graphics that bring stories to life, drive engagement, and reinforce our brand reputation for bold, premium storytelling.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-impact motion graphics and visual assets for original video content across the Daily Mail site, social media, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate closely with video producers, editors, journalists and wider editorial teams to develop innovative animated treatments for a broad range of story formats.
  • Translate complex editorial concepts and data into clear, audience-friendly visual storytelling.
  • Support both fast-turnaround news environments and longer-form premium video projects.
  • Maintain and evolve brand standards, templates, toolkits and motion graphics guidelines to ensure visual consistency across platforms.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, constantly pushing creative boundaries and suggesting fresh visual approaches and technologies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and creative excellence.
  • Advise on the best practices for motion design in digital-video, tailoring work for platform-specific needs (site, social, YouTube, etc.).

Person Specification

  • Strong experience producing motion graphics for video - ideally in a news, publishing or digital media environment.
  • Expert knowledge of After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite (experience with 3D or data-visualisation tools is a plus).
  • A strong creative portfolio showing a range of motion graphics for online video, social and/or YouTube.
  • Familiarity with on-air, in-video branding and visual storytelling techniques.
  • A keen eye for design, typography, animation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage time, and deliver high-quality work to deadline.

What We’re Looking For

  • A creative problem-solver and visual storyteller, dedicated to raising the bar for quality.
  • Someone comfortable switching from quick-turn-around explainers to developing premium longer-form graphics packages.
  • Enthusiastic about working across formats, platforms, and teams, and keen to help shape the next generation of Daily Mail content.

Package Description

Our benefits package increases the longer you’ve been with us. Here’s what to expect:

  • 25 days’ holiday (increasing by 1 per year up to a total of 30)
  • Pension plan and life cover
  • Discounts on online shopping, dining cards and vouchers, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Onsite gym, subsidised canteen and onsite nurse and GP clinics

Plus much more...

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
