What you'll do The Software Engineer Intern will join the Builders & Partners organization on the Emerging Plays team, helping to design and ship full-stack features that scale across multiple external integration partners. They will work closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to build reliable, secure, and maintainable experiences using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node, while learning how to operate in a modern cloud-based environment. The role is based in the Seattle hub with a hybrid, office-based experience aligned to Docusign's internship program expectations. This is an internship role for 3 months of duration. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering. Responsibility Collaborate with the Emerging Plays team to design, implement, and test full-stack features using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node Build and enhance services and user experiences that can scale across multiple external partners and integrations Work with senior engineers to understand system architecture, integration patterns, and best practices for reliability, performance, and security Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate unit and integration tests Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality and team practices Help investigate and fix bugs, performance issues, and edge cases in production or pre-production environments Document designs, implementation details, and learnings so other team members and future interns can build on the work Collaborate with a mentor and teammates, proactively asking questions and seeking feedback to support ongoing learning and growth Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Undergraduate (Graduation Dates: December 2027, May, June 2028) Experience with core computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Preferred Communication skills Ability to give and receive feedback constructively, and to incorporate feedback into subsequent work Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and problem-solving approaches Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
