Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Support Services Supervisor. Join our SI&CS Health and Education team and play a key role in the effective delivery of cleaning, wardsperson, materials, waste and linen services across Bathurst, Bloomfield and Orange Hospitals. Reporting to the Support Services Coordinator, you’ll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support essential hospital services.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Supervise frontline employees, monitor work standards and ensure duties are completed in line with contractual requirements, procedures and service standards.
- Coordinate rosters in accordance with the relevant award and NSW Health policies, ensuring appropriate coverage of operational requirements.
- Deliver services against relevant KPIs, respond to help desk requests within allocated timeframes and maintain required compliance documentation.
- Promote a safety-first culture through proactive hazard and incident reporting, toolbox activities, safety interactions and compliance with WHS requirements.
- Build productive stakeholder relationships, respond to customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and delivery.
What You'll Bring
- Qualifications or substantial equivalent experience in customer service, together with experience supervising and managing employees.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise, report and manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse issues and develop practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience developing relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to safety, customer service, quality and continuous improvement, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts and duties.
