We're seeking a motivated Inside Sales Associate to join our Sales & Marketing team in a key, highly visible role connecting prospective homebuyers with our communities throughout the Triangle and Coastal Carolina.

Reporting directly to our Director of Marketing, this position is responsible for responding to, qualifying, nurturing, and managing online leads and customer inquiries.

What we're looking for:

You MUST be exceptional on the phone, a strong and engaging email communicator, and highly comfortable with technology and CRM platforms. Just as importantly, you must be self-motivated, dependable, and committed to consistently executing the daily activities, follow-up practices, and performance expectations that drive sales success.

Previous new home sales experience is not required.

This is primarily a hybrid office/remote position in Raleigh, NC, serving our Triangle and Coastal Carolina (Wilmington) markets. More remote work flexibility may be available after the first six months, after review and based on performance and business needs. Weekly schedule will be customized with workdays, off days and on-call days.

Job Description | Online sales Counselor

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all e-mail and phone leads immediately
  • Qualify the leads based on needs
  • Provide consistent follow-up to online prospects with the goal of setting an appointment with the Onsite Sales Agent
  • Provide information and marketing material to prospects
  • Respond to the sales line and voice mail for leads
  • Work with the prospect to determine the best community and floor plan
  • Utilize lead-management software
  • Create and deliver ongoing e-mail campaigns
  • Track and report on lead activity and sales conversion ratios
  • Monitor website content (as assigned by Director of Marketing) with regular audits to ensure the content is accurate and in line with external advertising and will support the best customer experience
  • Monitor third-party websites and online advertising for accuracy and play an active role in recommending targeting and messaging that will ensure the best customer experience and increase conversion rates
  • Continually research the competition and their online activities
  • Some travel to our new home communities is required in order to learn about our homes, our communities, our onsite sales staff and our general company culture. This expert knowledge will shine through in your interactions with online leads and shine through in the customer's experience.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • Two years of sales and/or marketing experience
  • Customer focused and personable
  • Proven e-mail and phone communication skills
  • Sales contact management database experience
  • Comfortable using an array of different technologies to achieve goals
  • Solid organizational, planning and managing skills
  • Maintain focus while working in an unstructured environment with nominal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time well
  • Must be able to learn and follow proven sales process
