The Crown Is Yours

As a Workday Platform & Service Delivery Lead, you’ll shape how our People Technology Team delivers and evolves Workday across the organization. You’ll serve as the strategic link between our internal teams and external Workday partners, setting priorities, guiding technical solutions, and ensuring high-quality delivery while managing budgets and capacity. You’ll bring hands-on Workday expertise to solve complex challenges while partnering closely with Talent Acquisition Operations, People Operations, and other stakeholders to improve how teams use the platform. You’ll also lead programs that strengthen Workday knowledge, provide greater visibility into performance, and support our compliance responsibilities.

What you’ll do

  • Own the relationship with our Workday consulting partners, setting priorities, communicating requirements and timelines, monitoring delivery, and ensuring work aligns with our standards and roadmap.
  • Manage vendor budgets and capacity, balancing incoming requests and priorities to drive high-quality, cost-effective delivery.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Operations, People Operations, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and Workday solutions.
  • Serve as an internal Workday subject matter expert, troubleshooting day-to-day issues and providing technical guidance across HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Time and Attendance, and Scheduler.
  • Review vendor-built configurations and solutions, guide technical design decisions, and advise stakeholders on Workday capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Lead the Workday Empowerment Program, developing training that expands Workday knowledge across Talent Acquisition Operations and People Operations while managing elevated user permissions and access as needed.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate Workday performance metrics, delivery progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Partner with Compliance, Information Technology, and auditors to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, maintain control evidence, and complete required audits.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 5 years of hands-on Workday experience, with deep knowledge of HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Time and Attendance, and Scheduler.
  • Workday HCM and Recruiting certifications are preferred.
  • Proven experience managing vendor or contractor relationships, including prioritizing work, monitoring delivery, managing budgets, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Workday configuration and business processes, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and guide technical design decisions.
  • Experience building and delivering training programs or translating complex technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for different audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data and metrics to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and communicate meaningful insights to leadership.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and program management skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships, stakeholder requests, and technical work simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and professional judgment, with the ability to navigate tradeoffs, influence across teams, and communicate effectively with senior leaders.

We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 148,800.00 USD - 186,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
