Job Description

  • Manage the Oasis @KCS and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for students.
  • Build positive relationships with identified students through regular mentoring and engagement.
  • Provide socio-emotional support to students who need help returning to class or catching up after absences or suspension.
  • Plan and conduct after-school programmes, including academic support, mentoring and student engagement activities.
  • Identify, observe and document students' needs and report concerns to the Student Development Team and School Leaders.
  • Provide feedback on students' progress, needs and programme effectiveness.
  • Review engagement programmes each term and recommend improvements.
  • Work closely with the Student Development Team, teachers and school personnel to support students.
  • Maintain professional conduct when interacting with students and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the school.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Child Development, Youth Work or arelated discipline.
  • Registered Social Worker or Social Work Practitioner with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
  • Preferably certified in Restorative Practice /Building Relational Capacity.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the social service sector or social service agencies.
  • Experience supporting students with additional needs or practical social work experience in a school setting.
  • Experience working with children and youths in community settings will be an added advantage.
