Job Description

Ready to take on a role that's both varied and rewarding? We're looking for a dynamic Project Officer to bring energy, organisation and initiative to our friendly team.

As a Project Officer, you will work with a wide range of professionals across Children's Services, supporting the development and effective use of case recording systems. You will play a key role in delivering technical projects, implementing system improvements, and undertaking data quality and cleansing activities to support service delivery.

Working across Education services, you will provide both project support and business-as-usual system maintenance. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.

This role is varied and will include duties such as:

  • Work with Practice Leads and provide technical and comprehensive project support
  • Develop the Liquidlogic Children’s and Education Systems
  • Work with Senior Managers to identify improvement projects
  • Work independently to co-ordinate the development and implementation of allocated projects
  • Maintain Project Management procedures, and associated documentation
  • Identify and report on possible areas of risk
  • Provide guidance and support to staff
  • Write and produce guidance documentation and process maps

In addition to having proven experience in supporting projects, you will be highly motivated, have an excellent eye for detail, able to work collaboratively with staff, managers and key stakeholders and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment whilst managing conflicting priorities.

If you believe you have the key skills, experience, and attributes we are looking for then we want to hear from you.

This role is subject to a hybrid working agreement with a regular combination of working both at home and in your dedicated office base. Please note this is subject to change at short notice dependent on service requirements and demands.

Please download the Job Description and Person Specification for more information.

To apply for this role, please follow the ‘Apply Now’ button above and upload your CV and a Supporting Statement. We will be using your Supporting Statement to shortlist so please be sure to address how you meet all the criteria in the person specification, drawing on any relevant work/life experience, education, or personal interests. Your supporting statement is the most important part of your application as it will be used in the shortlisting process to determine if you will be invited to attend an interview.

For guidance on how to write an application see our how to apply page and our statement on the use of AI. They give you all the guidance you need to complete your application as well as information on what will happen after you’ve submitted your application and at interview.

Interviews will take place on Monday 30 November 2026 and will be in person at County Hall, Lewes.

Candidates who meet certain criteria are given priority when we shortlist. See our priority status page for details.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
