Job Description

Looking for a term time only role? Why not make a real difference through education at Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home, get involved today!

At Lansdowne, education is about more than learning; it’s about helping young people rebuild confidence, discover their potential and believe in a brighter future. As part of one of only 14 Secure Children’s Homes in England and Wales, you’ll support children with complex needs and significant gaps in their education, helping them take positive steps towards achieving their ambitions.

This is a rewarding, term-time-only opportunity to build trusting relationships, support young people’s wellbeing and safeguarding, and help them develop the skills, independence and confidence they need for the future. If you’re passionate about education and want to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people who need it most, we’d love to hear from you.

The people we are looking for in this vital position will have:

  • QCF level 2 in Maths and English or ability to pass assessment at interview.
  • Ability to assist in the recording of lessons and assessment as required by the teacher.
  • Ability to consistently and effectively implement agreed behaviour management strategies including physical intervention when required.
  • Ability to use language and other communication skills that pupils can understand and relate to.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
