The posting

ECI is the leading global provider of managed services, cybersecurity, and business transformation for mid-market financial services organizations across the globe.  From its unmatched range of services, ECI provides stability, security and improved business performance, freeing clients from technology concerns and enabling them to focus on running their businesses.  More than 1,000 customers worldwide with over $3 trillion of assets under management put their trust in ECI.    At ECI, we believe success is driven by passion and purpose. Our passion for technology is only surpassed by our commitment to empowering our employees around the world.    Position Summary  The Regional Sales Director – New Logo Sales will be responsible for originating, developing and closing new-logo opportunities across the UK financial services and alternative investment market. This is a hunter role for a self-starting, commercially disciplined sales professional who can independently build territory plans, create senior-level demand, qualify complex opportunities and close profitable managed technology and managed security services engagements.  The successful candidate will own the full sales lifecycle from target-account research and outbound prospecting through discovery, solution positioning, proposal, negotiation and handover. They will work closely with SDRs, Marketing, Solutions, Service Delivery and Customer Success to create sufficient pipeline coverage, forecast accurately and deliver against annual new business targets.  Role Objectives

Deliver annual new-logo revenue and gross margin targets within the assigned UK territory.  Build and maintain a high-quality, data-led pipeline with appropriate coverage against quota.  Win new clients in ECI’s core markets, including hedge funds, private equity, asset management, investment management, family offices and related financial institutions.  Represent ECI credibly with C-suite, technology, operations, compliance and procurement stakeholders.  Create a repeatable territory motion using account-based planning, proactive outreach, partner referrals, events and targeted campaigns.

Position Responsibilities

Own new customer acquisition, with a clear focus on creating and closing net-new logos rather than relying solely on inbound demand.  Build a prioritised target-account plan across the assigned territory, using sector knowledge, intent signals, referrals, events, LinkedIn, Salesforce and market research to identify high-fit prospects.  Generate qualified pipeline through disciplined outbound prospecting, executive networking, partner/channel engagement, industry events and coordinated SDR/Marketing campaigns.  Run full-cycle sales opportunities from initial outreach and discovery through commercial proposal, stakeholder mapping, negotiation, contracting and implementation hand-off.  Develop executive-level relationships with decision makers and influencers across technology, operations, compliance, finance and executive leadership teams.  Position ECI’s managed technology, cloud, cyber security, advisory and operational resilience capabilities in a consultative, outcome-led manner.  Qualify opportunities rigorously using BANT/MEDDICC-style criteria, ensuring strong understanding of pain, decision process, compelling event, budget, authority and commercial fit.  Lead compelling presentations, workshops and proposal meetings tailored to prospect requirements, competitive context and buying-stage maturity.  Partner with Solutions, Service Delivery and Customer Success teams to shape achievable solutions, manage implementation expectations and ensure a smooth handover after close.  Collaborate with Marketing and SDR colleagues to build account-based campaigns, drive event follow-up and convert target-account engagement into qualified opportunities.  Maintain accurate Salesforce records, including account plans, next steps, opportunity stage, close dates, forecast category, probability and key stakeholder information.  Provide reliable weekly forecasting and pipeline insight, highlighting risks, blockers, competitive threats and support required to progress deals.  Stay current on market trends affecting alternative investment firms, including cyber security expectations, cloud adoption, outsourced IT operations, regulatory pressure and operational resilience.  Act as an ambassador for ECI in the market, attending relevant industry events, building referral networks and strengthening ECI’s profile with target buyers.

Position Requirements

8–10+ years’ B2B technology, managed services, cyber security, cloud or professional services sales experience, including a strong record of new-logo acquisition.  Proven history of meeting or exceeding individual quota in a hunter/new business sales role, ideally involving complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.  Experience selling to alternative investment, private equity, asset management, hedge fund, investment banking, wealth management or broader financial services clients is strongly preferred.  Strong commercial acumen, with ability to understand client drivers, articulate business value, shape pricing assumptions and negotiate profitable agreements.  Excellent prospecting discipline and comfort originating opportunities through outbound activity, networking, referrals and event-led selling.  Confident executive presence, with ability to engage credibly with C-suite, technology leaders, operations heads, compliance stakeholders and procurement teams.  Ability to translate technical service propositions into clear commercial outcomes for non-technical and technical audiences.  Familiarity with Salesforce.com and modern sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong/meeting intelligence or equivalent platforms.  Strong written communication skills, including account plans, executive emails, proposals, follow-up notes and commercial summaries.  Highly accountable, organised and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across ECI teams.  Comfortable working to measurable KPIs, including new meetings, qualified opportunities, pipeline generated, pipeline coverage, stage progression, forecast accuracy and closed revenue.  BA/BS degree in business or related field preferred; equivalent career experience will be considered.

Working Conditions

Hybrid/office-based working environment with expectation of regular client-facing activity and internal collaboration.  Ability to work independently with appropriate management cadence, operating with a high degree of initiative and accountability.  Ability to travel for client meetings, industry events and internal business requirements when necessary.  Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required to support prospect meetings, events, proposal deadlines or deal activity.  Regular use of laptop, phone, CRM, collaboration tools and standard office equipment.

ECI’s culture is all about connection - connection with our clients, our technology and most importantly with each other.  In addition to working with an amazing team around the world, ECI also offers a competitive compensation package and so much more!  If you believe you’d be a great fit and are ready for your best job ever, we’d like to hear from you!   Love Your Job, Share Your Technology Passion, Create Your Future Here!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
