Als Pre-Sales Engineer vorm je de technische schakel tussen de klant, accountmanager en interne engineering- en projectteams. Je vertaalt een concrete klantvraag naar een technisch onderbouwde oplossing en werkt mee aan installaties die volledig op maat van de klant worden ontworpen.

Het gaat dus niet om standaardproducten, maar om echte projectmatige engineering binnen water- en afvalwaterbehandeling.

Je werkt nauw samen met de accountmanager en bent betrokken vanaf de eerste technische analyse tot de voorbereiding van het uiteindelijke voorstel.

Concreet :

  • Je analyseert de technische en procesmatige behoeften van klanten en werkt hiervoor haalbare en duurzame oplossingen uit binnen wastewater en industriële waterbehandeling.
  • Je maakt het basisontwerp van installaties, eventueel samen met een ervaren collega, en werkt ontwerpen uit in AutoCAD of een vergelijkbaar tekenprogramma.
  • Vanuit het ontwerp voer je de nodige technische berekeningen en dimensioneringen uit.
  • Je werkt mee aan technische offertes en zorgt ervoor dat de voorgestelde oplossing technisch correct, haalbaar en duidelijk onderbouwd is.
  • Je werkt hiervoor nauw samen met de accountmanager, engineering en andere interne en externe betrokken partijen.
  • Waar relevant voer je labo-werk of kleinschalige labtesten uit als onderdeel van een engineeringstudie.
  • Je ondersteunt de accountmanager tijdens technische klantgesprekken, geeft technisch advies en helpt klanten inzicht te krijgen in de mogelijkheden en beperkingen van de voorgestelde oplossing.
  • Je blijft betrokken bij de verdere ontwikkeling van het project en werkt mee aan een vlotte overdracht naar de projectorganisatie.

Je werkgebied omvat België en Nederland. De functie zal vanuit Waregem worden georganiseerd.

WAAROM BEN JIJ ONZE NIEUWE PRE SALES ENGINEER?

Voor deze functie zoeken we vooral iemand met een sterke engineeringmindset, technische diepgang en interesse in waterbehandeling.

Je herkent jezelf in het volgende:

  • Je hebt een technische opleiding, bij voorkeur op masterniveau, bijvoorbeeld industrieel ingenieur, chemie, elektromechanica of bio-ingenieur. Een bacheloropleiding is zeker mogelijk in combinatie met voldoende relevante ervaring.
  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar relevante werkervaring binnen engineering, waterbehandeling, procesindustrie of een vergelijkbare technische omgeving.
  • Je beschikt over een sterke technische basis en hebt ervaring met technisch ontwerp, berekeningen en/of engineering. Je bent in staat om een klantvraag te vertalen naar een concrete en technisch haalbare oplossing.
  • Ervaring met waterbehandeling en/of wastewater is belangrijk.
  • Je hebt bij voorkeur ervaring met de chemische aspecten van waterbehandeling. Dit hoeft niet uitsluitend binnen afvalwater te zijn.
  • Kennis van AutoCAD of een vergelijkbaar tekenprogramma is een troef.
  • Je bent analytisch en nauwkeurig, met een praktische ingesteldheid en oog voor het commerciële doel van een project.
  • Je communiceert vlot met klanten, accountmanagers, engineers, leveranciers en andere betrokken partijen en bent bereid om regelmatig mee naar klanten te gaan om technisch advies te geven.
  • Je spreekt vlot Nederlands en Engels. Kennis van Frans is een plus.
