Role Purpose

We are a dynamic, innovative and fast-growing company based in Hong Kong with businesses across APAC, Europe and China region. We are currently seeking an experienced Policy and Public Affairs professional for the position of Policy and Public Affairs Regional Lead – SEA & APAC of our Group to work alongside our dynamic team.

The Regional Lead – SEA & APAC leads the Company’s policy and public affairs across Southeast Asia (SEA) and the wider Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The role focuses on advancing supportive policy and regulatory pathways for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable fuels, strengthening government and industry partnerships, supporting access to new markets, and positioning the Company as a credible contributor to SEA and APAC’s energy-transition agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic roadmap development, policy advocacy and coalition building: Develop and execute a multi-year regional public affairs and policy advocacy roadmap, including advocacy for clear and practical pathways to SAF and renewable fuel blending mandates across SEA and the wider APAC region. Develop evidence-based policy positions and build coalitions with airlines, fuel suppliers, airports, financial institutions, logistics and transport companies, and industry associations.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build trusted relationships with policymaking bodies, authorities, national governments across the SEA and wider Asia-Pacific region, regulatory bodies, policymakers and other relevant public-sector stakeholders, particularly across the energy, aviation, transport and climate sectors.
  • Regulatory monitoring and business advice: Monitor emerging policy and regulatory developments across SEA and the wider APAC region relevant to SAF, renewable fuels and related value chains, assess their business implications, and provide clear, timely advice to senior management and relevant functions.
  • External representation: Represent the Company in relevant industry associations, policy forums, consultations and stakeholder meetings, ensuring consistent and credible external positioning.
  • New market access: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Group to support entry into new markets across SEA and the wider APAC region by identifying policy and regulatory pathways, engaging relevant stakeholders, and helping address market-access barriers.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant degree in public policy, political science, law, economics, international relations, sustainability, business or a related discipline; an advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Around15+ years of relevant experience in government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs or corporate affairs, preferably in energy, aviation, transport, commodities, infrastructure or another regulated sector.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing complex SEA/APAC legislative or regulatory processes and translating business priorities into credible policy positions.
  • Strong understanding of regional policymaking bodies and relevant national stakeholder dynamics across SEA and the wider APAC region; established senior-level networks are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of SAF, renewable fuel, energy, energy transition, aviation and climate related policies is preferred.
  • Proven coalition-building, negotiation and stakeholder-management capability across government, industry and civil society.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive briefs, white papers, position papers, and represent the Company credibly with senior external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in another language commonly used across SEA or APAC is an advantage.
  • High integrity and sound judgement, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, multicultural and highly regulated environment.
  • Experience working within a cross-continental corporate environment is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across SEA and the wider APAC region, with occasional international travel as required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
