The company is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland. The role is based directly on customer site and requires (100%) international travelling.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Construction Managers to track progress against the approved project schedule and commissioning milestones.
  • Introduce water into the ultrapure water (UPW) treatment system and verify mechanical installation integrity through pressure testing.
  • Load and commission process media and equipment, including but not limited to ion exchange resins, reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration membranes, and UV systems.
  • Perform system flushing and conditioning activities to achieve final UPW quality specifications.
  • Manage and monitor wastewater generated during commissioning, coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation.
  • Participate in coordination, progress, and technical meetings with customer representatives as required.
  • Execute Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT) in accordance with project and quality requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive plant training to customers, covering process fundamentals, operational procedures, and best practices.
  • Complete final plant certification and support formal handover to the end customer.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including test results, deviations, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues encountered during system start-up and commissioning.
  • Ensure strict adherence to site Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Technical graduate education (bachelor’s degree or master’s degree) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Strong understanding of continuous process systems, ideally within gas, water, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industrial environments.
  • Proven hands-on experience in commissioning, start-up, operation, maintenance, or technical service roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems, supported by strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise a high-volume workload while remaining flexible and responsive to rapidly changing site conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
  • Proactive and self-driven approach, with the confidence and sound judgement to make independent technical decisions when required.
  • Clear and professional communication skills; able to represent the company on-site and serve as a trusted interface with customers.
  • Fluent in English (working language); proficiency in German and/or French is a strong advantage.
  • Swiss or EU citizenship, or possession of a valid Swiss work permit.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
