The Intern, Legal Affairs and Innovation will support the Legal team in initiatives related to legal innovation, governance, compliance, and operational efficiency. During the Winter 2027 term, the intern will contribute to the integration of an AI-powered legal platform, assist with the review and harmonization of corporate policies following the ESAB integration, and support legal operations through research, contract review, and documentation management. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law, technology, and business transformation. Rather than being limited to traditional legal research, the intern will actively contribute to projects that have a direct impact on the Legal team’s tools, processes, and compliance practices in an international environment.   Be a part of something bigger.   We encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet every requirement listed, as we recognise that skills and experience can be gained in many ways.   As an Intern, Legal Affairs & Innovation, you must be able to: Artificial Intelligence and Legal Innovation

Participate in the rollout and integration of Luminance, an artificial intelligence platform designed for legal teams; Contribute to the development of use cases and best practices for the use of AI in contract management; Test and evaluate the platform’s functionalities; Prepare training materials and user guides; Make recommendations to improve the efficiency of legal processes.

Governance and Compliance

Conduct an inventory and review of existing corporate policies; Participate in the harmonization of Eddyfi’s policies with ESAB’s requirements and standards; Identify gaps between current policies and new organizational requirements; Prepare revised versions of policies and tracking tools; Conduct ad hoc legal research on governance, compliance, data protection, and business ethics.

Legal Operations Support

Conduct legal research and support the review and drafting of commercial contracts; Participate in the improvement of internal legal department processes; Contribute to the organization and management of legal documentation; Assist the team with various special projects related to post-acquisition integration.

You are currently pursuing a degree in Law, Business Law, Corporate Law, Governance, or a related field. You are interested in the intersection of law, technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation. You have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. You are comfortable conducting research, synthesizing information, and preparing clear, structured documents. You demonstrate attention to detail, sound judgment, and professionalism when handling sensitive information. You are proactive, curious, and eager to contribute to process improvement and new ways of working. You are comfortable working in both French and English, spoken and written. You are proficient with Microsoft Office tools; experience with legal technology tools, AI platforms, or policy/document management is an asset.
