Build the systems that turn data into an edge.

Edge Stackers is a quantitative investment firm built around a simple idea: good decisions come from better evidence, built into systems that work when it counts. We are a small team with high standards and room for exceptional people to shape what comes next.

We are looking for an architect-builder who can work across data, software and production systems. You can turn imperfect data into dependable systems, design the platform around it, put decision workflows and model outputs to work in production, and own the result. You are at your best when the problem crosses boundaries and nobody hands you a neat brief.

What you will own

Build dependable ingestion, storage and query layers for raw, changing event and trading data. Work with the teams that use them to define data contracts, and make validation, lineage and recovery part of the design.

Build and improve pipelines from ingestion through validation, deployment and monitoring.

Choose practical architecture across data, software and production systems. Match the level of robustness to the value, criticality, cost and expected lifespan of the solution. Make the trade-offs clear, then build what the team can operate.

Use cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, testing and CI/CD to make environments reproducible and releases safe.

Build and operate practical AI and agentic workflows where they solve a real problem. Measure outputs and make failure modes visible.

Own production outcomes: observability, cost, latency, incidents and the work needed to prevent the same issue twice.

How you work

You move between data, software and production operations without treating any part as somebody else's job. You write strong Python and SQL, use AI to test assumptions and close knowledge gaps, and verify the work and own the outcome. You cut through unnecessary complexity and explain your choices in plain language.

You have shipped work people rely on. You know that a good result needs reproducible pipelines, sensible metrics, clean interfaces, release controls and a way to see when something breaks. You are comfortable explaining your choices, changing your mind when the evidence changes, and doing the unglamorous work that makes an idea durable.

We care about what you have built and owned more than a particular title, degree or tool list. If you can take a messy data problem from first principles to a reliable live system, we want to see it.
