Are you a Senior Accountant looking to further your career in a growing environment where you are able to contribute to the success of the business? As a Senior Accountant at GEMCORE, you will be able to have an impact on FP&A, general accounting and corporate finance, express and implement your ideas, contribute daily to the success of the organization, and build lasting relationships. We are searching for a Sr. Accountant with strong business acumen and experience that does not shy away from a challenging environment. We are growing at an exponential rate and require an individual with a strong skillset ready to dig in and make a difference!

  • Schedule is 8:15 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities of the Sr. Staff Accountant:

  • Record financial information to the general ledger in compliance with established standards, policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as applicable.
  • Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and analyses of revenue and expense accounts.
  • Prepares internal and external financial statements.
  • Assists with internal management reporting and external audit support.
  • Designs, implements, and executes efficient internal control procedures.
  • Compiles data on financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenditures and forecast budgets.
  • Reviewing and analyzing sales and use tax laws in all 50 US states, and Washington DC.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent written, verbal, technology and leadership skills.
  • Familiar with a variety of accounting and cost accounting principles, practices and concepts. Experience in Microsoft D365 a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Master’s in Finance or MBA a plus.
  • 4-6 years of general accounting experience including financial analysis.
  • Ability to multi-task, interact with others, and possess above average time management skills.
