Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners, and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Leading proposal development and contract negotiations for targeted pursuits that demonstrate GHD’s capabilities and value proposition
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, prospects, regulators, and industry partners
  • Maintaining a visible external profile through participation in industry organizations and continued growth of professional networks
  • Strengthening GHD’s internal CAR profile through project pursuits, successful wins, and consistent project delivery
  • Overseeing and reviewing the work of environmental professionals, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Coordinating people and resources to achieve defined outcomes within limited timeframes

What you will bring to the team:

  • Extensive experience in contaminated-site investigation, data analysis, and remediation
  • Strong understanding of U.S. EPA requirements, state environmental regulations, and other standards affecting the environmental consulting industry
  • Proven experience preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and site closure
  • Comprehensive knowledge of site characterization methods, hydrogeologic assessment, and remediation strategies for contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater
  • Understanding of multimedia remedial technologies for contaminants including VOCs, SVOCs, metals, PCBs, and PFAS
  • Working knowledge of remediation-system design, operation, and maintenance
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects in a consulting environment while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Strong project and client management skills
  • Ability to develop practical technical and regulatory solutions that address clients’ specific compliance needs and challenges
  • Experience supervising, directing, and mentoring environmental professionals and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and evaluate multiple solutions
  • Ability to establish productive working relationships with colleagues, leaders, clients, and regulators
  • A collaborative, self-motivated approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Interest in continuous learning and professional development
  • Ability to travel for short durations, including overnight travel
  • Knowledge of the Midwest environmental market is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related applied-science discipline; an advanced degree is valued
  • 10–15 years of experience in contaminated-site investigation and remediation
  • Professional designation or license, such as Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist, preferred
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, collaborative approach

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
