Job Description

Your Role

As a Senior System Engineer, you will report to the team leader of the System Team in the Platform department. You will play a key technical role in the implementation, evolution, and operational stability of Microsoft-based infrastructure platforms, both internally and for our clients.

You will act as a technical reference within the team, contributing to system design decisions, operational best practices, and continuous improvement of our services. In this role, you combine strong hands-on expertise with the ability to anticipate issues, standardize solutions, and collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and customers.

In the team you will oversee:

  • Design and optimize system architectures to ensure performance, scalability, and security
  • Monitor infrastructure health and proactively identify and resolve potential issues
  • Provide 2nd-level and advanced support, handling complex incidents and root cause analysis
  • Automate operations using tools like PowerShell, Puppet, Rundeck, and Terraform
  • Manage the lifecycle of Microsoft systems, ensuring they remain stable, secure and up to date
  • Share knowledge and contribute to technical standards, documentation, and team best practices

Our offer

  • A pleasant working environment in a motivated team with solid expertise.
  • A broad field of technology, from standard applications to micro-services on public clouds.
  • An amazing work diversity ranging from small projects to wide programs.
  • Intensive collaboration with ELCA engineers, experts, and managers as well as directly with customers from various business areas.

Your profile

You are passionate about technology; you learn constantly, and you love to master challenges in a changing environment.

You see yourself as a senior engineer that can lead critical implementation and production system activities, that can efficiently solve issues and communicate your knowledge among engineers. You can detect and propose proactive actions to avoid that can arise from many aspects of the service. You like teamwork and constant interaction with customers, internal or external.

Your expertise covers some or all the following:

  • Windows Server and Microsoft ecosystem (AD, GPO, IIS, SQL Server, WSUS, RDS, DFS)
  • Virtualization (VMware vSphere, proxmox)
  • Backup solutions (Veeam)
  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, proxy, load balancers)
  • Scripting and automation (PowerShell, python)
  • Monitoring tools (CheckMK or similar)
  • Infrastructure as Code / configuration management (Terraform, Puppet)

Additional strengths:

  • Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
