Bank Pre-Assessment Administrator

Location: Spire Liverpool Hospital Contract: Bank / Zero-hours contract Working hours: Flexible hours, with day shifts from 8:00am to 4:00pm Salary: £12.76 per hour

Spire Liverpool Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an organised and customer-focused Pre-Assessment Administrator to join our experienced team on a flexible bank basis.

You will support the delivery of an efficient patient administration service, providing a professional and welcoming experience for patients while working closely with consultants, clinical teams and other hospital departments.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing patient enquiries professionally by telephone, email and face-to-face.
  • Booking and coordinating pre-assessment appointments.
  • Preparing patient records and documentation for the pre-assessment nursing team.
  • Processing appointment and admission information accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaising with patients, consultants, medical secretaries and clinical teams.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and manual records in line with data protection, GDPR and hospital policies.
  • Handling confidential patient and consultant information appropriately.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the pre-assessment service.

Who are we looking for:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, office-based or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous healthcare administration experience or knowledge of medical terminology would be beneficial but is not essential.
