Job Title: Senior QA Engineer Key Skills: Python, Pytest, Robot Framework, Playwright, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, CI/CD, Performance Testing, AI-Assisted Testing Experience: 5+ YOE Location: Costa Rica Mode: Remote

We at Coforge are hiring Senior QA Engineer (#20934-21-1) with the following skill set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests for investor funding, payment processing, data pipelines, REST APIs, and system integrations.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites using Python (Pytest/Robot Framework) and Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Validate data accuracy and system performance through complex SQL queries, reconciliation, performance/load testing, and cross-browser and responsive testing.
  • Leverage AI coding assistants and AI-driven testing tools to accelerate test creation, generate test data, analyze results, and support defect triage while collaborating within an Agile/Scrum team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of QA experience covering both manual and automated software testing.
  • Hands-on automation experience with Python using Pytest and/or Robot Framework.
  • Experience with Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, and aggregations for data validation and reconciliation.
  • Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or code-based testing frameworks.
  • Experience integrating and running automated tests within CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Experience with performance or load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust.
  • Experience testing responsive web applications across browsers and devices.
  • Practical experience using AI tools in day-to-day testing activities.
  • 3+ years working in Agile/Scrum teams, with strong communication skills and availability to work US Eastern business hours.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in lending, loan servicing, payments, or other fintech domains.
  • Experience building custom AI agents or tools using LLM APIs.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience testing file-based integrations such as CSV, fixed-width files, and SFTP transfers.
  • Knowledge of financial data accuracy and compliance considerations.
