Senior Benefits Specialist – Prysmian North America
Location: Onsite-Highland Heights, KY

On Prysmian’s Total Rewards team, we go beyond administering benefits—we design meaningful experiences that support employees at every stage of life. We are seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist who brings strong benefits administration expertise, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage details with accuracy, discretion, and urgency.
This is a hands-on role where you will support the day-to-day administration of Prysmian’s health and welfare programs, retirement-related processes, leave of absence coordination, vendor interactions, employee inquiries, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, analytical, and comfortable balancing routine administration with escalated employee and HR partner needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support Benefits Administration & Employee Service
- Support day-to-day administration of health and welfare plans, wellness programs, voluntary benefits, and related employee benefit processes across North America
- Respond to employee, manager, and HR Business Partner inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and service-focused support
- Research and resolve escalated benefit issues by partnering with vendors, payroll, HRIS, and internal stakeholders
- Support annual enrollment, new hire enrollment, life event changes, eligibility updates, and employee communications
Maintain Data Accuracy & Reporting
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations to ensure eligibility, enrollment, payroll deduction, and vendor data accuracy
- Use Excel and reporting tools to analyze benefit data, identify discrepancies, and support corrective action
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, summaries, and tracking documents for the Benefits Manager and Total Rewards leadership
Coordinate Leave of Absence Support
- Support leave of absence administration, including FMLA, ADA, state leave programs, company leave policies, and return-to-work coordination
- Partner with employees, HR Business Partners, payroll, and external vendors to help ensure accurate, timely, and compliant leave processing
- Track cases, follow up on outstanding items, and escalate complex matters to the Benefits Manager as appropriate
Partner with Vendors & Internal Teams
- Serve as a key liaison with carriers, administrators, TPAs, and other benefit vendors to resolve employee and plan administration issues
- Monitor vendor follow-up items, service issues, and process gaps, escalating trends or concerns to the Benefits Manager
- Support vendor implementations, renewals, file feeds, testing, and ongoing process improvements
Ensure Compliance & Governance
- Assist with compliance-related activities, including required notices, plan documentation, audits, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Support Form 5500, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other benefit compliance processes in partnership with the Benefits Manager, legal, vendors, and consultants
- Maintain strong attention to detail and confidentiality when handling employee information, benefit records, and sensitive matters
What You Bring
- 4–6 years of experience in benefits administration
- Strong working knowledge of self-insured health and welfare benefits, leave of absence administration, and employee benefit processes
- Experience working with benefits vendors, carriers, TPAs, HRIS platforms, and payroll teams
- Strong Excel skills, including data validation, reconciliations, pivot tables, lookups, and reporting
- Familiarity with benefits compliance requirements, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and applicable state leave programs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on details in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when working with sensitive employee information
