Short Facts

Join us on our journey: We’re building the backbone of the energy transition - and we need people who want to get hands-on making it happen. Your Responsibilities

As a (Junior) Operations Manager - BESS & Trading, you will be part of our fast-moving Operations team - a group of sharp, hands-on professionals who ensure our platform performs in the real world. We currently manage a small but rapidly growing number of BESS assets, and plan to scale to dozens across Europe by 2026.

What you will do:

  • Support the BESS asset lifecycle Support & Own the lifecycle of our battery assets - from go-live to daily performance
  • Monitor performance in real-time Keep the pulse of live operations and react fast when things go off-script
  • Solve problems fast and cross-functionally Solve problems under pressure and make chaos look calm
  • Execute and improve operational processes Improve what’s broken - and don’t wait to be told
  • Build and maintain clear, actionable documentation Write playbooks that make us faster, smarter, and ready to scale
  • Collaborate across teams to shape the future of our systems Work shoulder-to-shoulder with tech, trading, and ops to push our systems forward

This Role Gives You Impact and Opportunity

  • You’ll feel your impact daily. The assets you monitor keep the grid stable and clean.
  • You’ll learn insanely fast. You’ll sit between energy, tech, and trading - few roles give this mix.
  • You’ll grow with us. We’re scaling to gigawatts. So will your responsibility.

Your Profile

We’re looking for someone who is deeply proactive and accountable - someone who doesn’t just identify problems but owns them, and is energized by bringing clarity and progress to complexity.

Mandatory Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Energy Systems, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in energy/trading operations, technical support, asset operations, or a related field
  • Comfort working with dashboards and monitoring tools to identify anomalies in real time
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
  • Motivation to quickly learn how energy assets behave, how grids work, and how energy trading mechanisms function
  • Problem-solving mindset with a sense of ownership for your tasks
  • Business proficiency (C1+) in English

  • Experience using ticketing or incident management systems (e.g. Jira Service Management, Zendesk, PagerDuty)
  • Curiosity to learn basic technical debugging (e.g. SQL, Python) over time

This role may not be a fit for you if…

  • You prefer routine over dynamic work environments
  • You are uncomfortable working across teams in a dynamic environment
  • You are not interested in learning about technical systems and operational topics

Your Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation Package: Including salary, benefits and virtual share options
  • Professional Development: Annual development budget of 3,000 € for coachings, training, books, etc.
  • Health & Sport Subsidy: Company subsidised sports facilities membership

A Short Note from Your Future Lead

Julius Herter - Lead Trading & Energy Operations - LinkedIn

Hi there,

I joined Entrix in June 2022 as a Founder’s Associate and ended up working across almost everything -fundraising, finance, ops, marketing, and now market operations.

What I’ve learned: energy trading only works if ops, finance, and tech work seamlessly together. That’s exactly where this role sits.

What you can expect from me: maximum ownership and zero hand-holding (in a good way). If something’s broken, we fix it. If something can be automated, we automate it. If scaling needs structure, we build it.

Outside of work, I’m usually in the mountains (hiking, climbing, skiing), trying new food spots in Munich, or deep in some DIY project.

If you want to help build a market ops setup that actually scales across Europe I’d love to talk.

Cheers,

Julius

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
