The posting

Wil jij met Python, SQL en machine learning voorspellingen maken die écht invloed hebben op zakelijke beslissingen? Bij Hezelaer Energy werk je aan forecasting, pricing en energy trading. Je ontwikkelt modellen die helpen de energiemarkt beter te begrijpen en commerciële en operationele beslissingen te verbeteren. Je krijgt de ruimte om nieuwe AI-toepassingen te onderzoeken én mee te bouwen aan een Data Science-team dat volop in ontwikkeling is.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Ontwikkelen en verbeteren van machine learning- en forecastingmodellen.
  • Analyseren van datasets met Python en SQL.
  • Toepassen van statistische modellering, predictive analytics en tijdreeksanalyse.
  • Onderzoeken hoe AI en data waarde toevoegen aan pricing en energy trading.
  • Vertalen van analyses naar bruikbare inzichten, rapportages en dashboards.
  • Samenwerken met IT, Trading, Finance, Operations en Sales aan datagedreven oplossingen.

Je werkt aan uiteenlopende vraagstukken: van het voorspellen van ontwikkelingen op de energiemarkt tot het verbeteren van processen. Niet alles ligt al vast. Je onderzoekt mogelijkheden, neemt initiatief en helpt bepalen hoe we Data Science binnen Hezelaer verder ontwikkelen.

Wie ben jij?

Je bent analytisch, nieuwsgierig en vindt het interessant om complexe vraagstukken te doorgronden. Je denkt verder dan de techniek en wilt begrijpen hoe jouw modellen in de praktijk waarde toevoegen.

Dit breng je mee:

  • HBO- of WO-werk- en denkniveau in bijvoorbeeld Data Science, Econometrie, Wiskunde, Informatica of Artificial Intelligence.
  • Kennis van statistiek, statistische modellering en/of machine learning.
  • Ervaring met Python en SQL.
  • Ervaring met data-analyse en interesse in forecasting, AI of predictive analytics.

Je werkt zelfstandig, deelt je inzichten helder met collega's en vindt het interessant om samen nieuwe oplossingen te ontwikkelen. Ervaring in de energiesector is mooi meegenomen, maar geen vereiste.
