Job description

About us

Equiteq is an elite global investment bank operating as a trusted advisor to companies transforming the world through technology and specialty services. Since 2005, we have completed hundreds of M&A transactions and advisory mandates, unlocking billions in value for our clients across the technology services and specialty consulting sector.

With offices in New York, Boston, Atlanta, London, Singapore, Sydney and Bengaluru, we are sector specialists who develop deep relationships with our clients to help them grow and realise value.

We pride ourselves on delivering excellent service, fostering personal and professional development, and building a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

About this role

Based in London, this role delivers high-quality research, analysis, and execution support across live M&A mandates, contributing directly to the team's delivery and client outcomes. You'll hone your research, presentation, and analysis skills through experience in the end-to-end M&A process.

This is an immediate-start role aimed at candidates who have already completed their degree. It sits outside our student and internship recruitment programmes, so please check our other opportunities if you're still studying.

As an Analyst within Equiteq, you'll have significant responsibility, advancement opportunities, client access and opportunities to work on a global platform. Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 3 months of experience in a relevant internship or role (e.g. M&A, investment banking, or transaction services).
  • Qualification to degree level in an appropriate discipline.
  • Exemplary academic record and demonstrated commitment to achievement.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accounting.
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear, concise slides and written materials.
  • Demonstrable intent to drive excellence through rigour and attention to detail across work tasks.
  • Highest quality communication skills with clients as well as internal teams.
  • Excellent industry analysis and ability to abstract trends and insights from primary data.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and knowledge of specific investment banking databases (e.g. CapitalIQ, Pitchbook) is a plus.

Attributes

  • Personal Impact – Builds trust quickly and contributes confidently in client and internal settings.
  • Resilience – Manages competing priorities, maintains high standards under pressure, and delivers reliably.
  • Attention to Detail – Works methodically, follows structured processes, and anticipates risks or issues early.
  • Ownership – Takes responsibility for deliverables, follows through, and consistently meets agreed timelines.
  • Professional Presence – Communicates clearly, structures messages logically, and adapts style to the audience.
  • Support preparation of operating and valuation models, company analyses, information memoranda, presentations and marketing documents in support of sell-side transactions.
  • Deliver reliable day-to-day execution support across all phases of live deals, including analysis, drafting materials, diligence preparation, process coordination, and timeline management.
  • Produce well-structured, insight-driven industry analysis and materials that clearly communicate key trends, value drivers, and competitive dynamics.
  • Contribute to business development activities through preparation of pitchbooks, research, list building, preparation of outreach materials, and supporting early-stage engagement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
