OBJECTIVE:
- Supervising the outlet section service in accordance with Eri Maldives Standards
- This position is concerned with assisting in supervising the outlet and or section working to maximize guest satisfaction in accordance with the Eri Maldives and outlet standards.
- To assist in supervising the day-to-day operation of the resort's food and beverage outlets, including restaurant and bar service, ensuring consistent service standards, effective team supervision, sound operational and stock controls, and the highest possible level of guest satisfaction.
Qualification:
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- At least 2-3 years of experience.
- Excellent oral communication skills required.
- Positive interpersonal required.
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Restaurant Manager and F&B Management with the day-to-day running of the outlets and take responsibility for the operation in the absence of the relevant manager.
- Ensure effective communication of required standards, procedures and operational information to all F&B team members.
- Supervise restaurant and bar service areas and ensure resort policies, procedures and F&B SOPs are consistently followed.
- Ensure all outlet areas are correctly set up according to standards before each service and that opening and closing procedures are completed.
- Assign operational responsibilities to team members, follow up on assigned duties and direct team members between outlets as required to meet service needs.
- Monitor weekly rosters to ensure adequate manning levels in line with F&B SOPs and operational requirements.
- Conduct or support stock takes and equipment inventories and ensure proper recording of stock movements, charging and billing.
- Oversee cash and stock control according to resort policy, including cashing up, shift closing and completion of required daily reports.
- Ensure beverage stock is available, properly stored and within expiry dates, and recommend suitable alternatives when items are unavailable.
- Ensure drinks and other F&B products are prepared and served according to SOPs and established service sequences.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, cocktails, wine, beverages and other F&B products, and confidently recommend and serve products to guests.
- Liaise with guests, handle inquiries and complaints promptly, take appropriate corrective action and escalate matters to the relevant manager or F&B Office when necessary.
- Execute F&B activities and promotions according to guidelines provided by F&B Management.
- Maintain the highest possible level of guest satisfaction through consistent standards, attention to detail, personal engagement and anticipation of guest needs.
- Communicate and cooperate effectively with other departments at all levels when operational support is required.
SERVICE & GUEST EXPERIENCE
- Be fully familiar with and consistently follow the resort's F&B service and operating standards.
- Provide courteous, professional and attentive service at all times and maintain a strong guest-service focus.
- Take and process beverage orders and ensure accurate, timely service.
- Cultivate positive guest relations and rapport and strive to create enjoyable and memorable guest experiences.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and service readiness in both front-of-house and heart-of-house outlet areas.
- Replenish supplies and complete side duties as assigned.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene in accordance with resort policy.
FINANCIAL & ASSET RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively upsell within the outlets and promote resort facilities, services and F&B events to guests.
- Support achievement of daily and monthly food and beverage revenue forecasts and targets.
- Ensure billing is accurate and correct charging procedures are followed.
- Minimise operating costs, wastage and breakage through careful use and handling of resort property and F&B equipment.
- Ensure the security, functionality and proper handling of resort property and equipment within the department.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve operational, service and environmental procedures within the resort.
- Keep updated on changes to resort products and services and share relevant information with the team and department.
- Support or relieve in other F&B outlets when required by operational needs.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager, F&B Management or Resort Management as required.
