About the Role
As a Senior GIS Consultant, you'll be a trusted advisor to our customers, helping them solve complex business and operational challenges using ArcGIS technology. You'll lead consulting engagements, guide solution design, and work closely with customers to deliver meaningful outcomes. You’ll stay hands-on with ArcGIS configuration, data integration and troubleshooting, taking ownership of technical decisions and delivery quality. Along the way, you'll help develop the capability of the wider team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Some of the major responsibilities:
- Lead customer engagements from discovery through to delivery, including testing, documentation and operational handover, ensuring successful outcomes and strong customer relationships.
- Partner with customers to understand their challenges, uncover underlying business needs, and translate them into practical GIS solutions.
- Design and guide the delivery of ArcGIS solutions, leveraging ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro to create scalable, fit-for-purpose outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership across projects, helping teams navigate complex requirements, make sound decisions, and resolve delivery challenges.
- Build and review geospatial data products, integration workflows, and data pipelines, ensuring data is reliable, governed, and fit for business use. Validate outputs and publish reliable ArcGIS services.
- Mentor and support junior consultants across projects, including colleagues working at client sites, through coaching, technical guidance, and sharing of best practices.
- Review proposed solutions, scope, assumptions and effort estimates with sales and delivery teams to confirm that engagements are technically sound and achievable.
About You
- You're an experienced GIS professional who enjoys working directly with customers and solving real-world problems. You bring a proactive mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a genuine interest in helping both customers and colleagues succeed. You're comfortable leading conversations, building trust with stakeholders, and supporting less experienced team members to grow.
You will bring:
- Proven experience delivering ArcGIS solutions for clients or within an organisation, with responsibility for independently leading technical workstreams from requirements gathering through to delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise, including solution delivery, data management, and deployment of GIS capabilities.
- Experience designing GIS solutions and translating business needs into practical, value-driven outcomes for customers.
- Hands-on data engineering skills using Python and SQL to prepare, integrate and validate spatial data, with attention to data quality and maintainability.
- Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and support junior team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Initiative and persistence in clarifying ambiguous requirements, investigating problems and following issues through to resolution, involving the right people when needed.

Preferred experience
- Experience in one or more of CAD/BIM-to-GIS integration (for example, Revit or IFC), 3D data workflows, ArcGIS Indoors, or ArcGIS Workflow Manager.
- Interest in emerging technologies and AI-enabled workflows is desirable.
