Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for providing a public relations service to the Directorate.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Administers the development of strategic marketing plans.

• Liaises with Communications division with regards to marketing/branding plans for the Directorate.

• Administers correspondence within the Directorate.

• Administers by receiving and dissemination of Council and Committee reports, resolutions and extracts relevant to resolutions, and ensures the implementation thereof.

• Liaises with various stakeholders.

• Undertakes the administration and implementation of relevant policies and procedures.

• Ensures that the Directorate’s web page is accessible.

• Participates in budgetary processes.

• Ensures availability of relevant equipment and material throughout the Directorate.

• Manages, supervises, guides, develops and motivates staff, whilst monitoring and reviewing

performance within the Division.

Essential Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent and a certificate in the Administration field.

• Valid motor vehicle driving license.

• 3 years relevant experience

• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Administration field.

• 4 Years relevant experience.

Qualifications

Essentail Experience • 2 Years relevant experience. Computer literacy.

Preferred Experience • 3 Years relevant experience.

Essential Qualifications • Matric/Grade 12 plus relevant certificate accredited by SAQA., Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).

Preferred Qualifications • Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification, i.e. Diploma or Degree.
