Van Oord Lees over werkgever Vestiging(en) Jan Blankenweg 2 4207 HN, Gorinchem Beroepen Stagiair(e) Afstudeerstagiair - 40 hours per week Werkend vanuit ons kantoor in Gorinchem onderzoek je een actuele uitdaging binnen de offshore funderingstechniek: hoe nauwkeurig kunnen we het installeren van palen voorspellen? Je toetst recent ontwikkelde modellen aan gegevens uit daadwerkelijke offshore installatieprojecten. Met jouw onderzoek help je ons begrijpen waar deze modellen de huidige engineeringpraktijk kunnen verbeteren. Je werkt samen met Van Oord en TU Delft aan een onderwerp met directe praktische waarde. Betere voorspellingen kunnen helpen bij het maken van slimmere keuzes voor materieel en het beperken van kostbare projectreserves. Zo draag je bij aan een beter voorspelbaar ontwerp en een beter voorspelbare installatie van offshore funderingen. Als afstudeerstudent Geotechniek onderzoek je recent ontwikkelde modellen voor het voorspellen van de paalbaarheid van offshore palen. Het voorspellen van het gedrag van een paal tijdens de installatie is belangrijk bij het selecteren van installatiematerieel en het voorbereiden van een offshore project. In de huidige engineeringpraktijk wordt hiervoor vaak software gebruikt die gebaseerd is op de 1D-golfvergelijking. Recent ontwikkelde modellen proberen de interactie tussen paal en grond tijdens de installatie realistischer weer te geven. Tegelijkertijd blijven deze modellen veel praktischer dan volledige driedimensionale numerieke simulaties. Je gebruikt deze geavanceerde modellen om hun voorspellend vermogen en praktische toepasbaarheid te beoordelen aan de hand van praktijkgegevens uit heiwerkzaamheden op een offshore project.
