Als Automation Engineer bij een organisatie in de industriële automatisering in Rotterdam richt je je op de besturing van machines en technische installaties. Je vertaalt functionele eisen naar overzichtelijke PLC-software, bedieningsschermen en betrouwbare besturingslogica. Daarbij kijk je verder dan alleen de code: ook signaalverwerking, foutafhandeling, machineveiligheid en onderhoudbaarheid bepalen of een installatie in de praktijk goed functioneert. In je dagelijkse werk combineer je programmeren met testen, analyseren en afstemmen. Je bespreekt interfaces met elektrotechnische en werktuigbouwkundige collega's en maakt technische keuzes begrijpelijk voor operators en onderhoudstechnici. Tijdens het testen en in bedrijf stellen controleer je of software en hardware correct samenwerken. Je verdiept je daarbij in PLC-architectuur, industriële communicatie en gestructureerde diagnose, zodat je oplossingen steeds beter kunt onderbouwen en storingen gericht kunt aanpakken. Wat ga je doen? - Functionele eisen vertalen naar PLC-programma's en besturingslogica - HMI-schermen ontwikkelen met duidelijke bediening en bruikbare alarmmeldingen - I/O-signalen en communicatie tussen PLC's, aandrijvingen en veldapparatuur testen - Softwarefouten analyseren en storingen systematisch oplossen - Installaties in bedrijf stellen en de werking toetsen aan functionele eisen - Softwarewijzigingen, testresultaten en technische keuzes documenteren Wat vragen we van jou? - Technische opleiding in elektrotechniek, industriële automatisering of mechatronica - Praktische ervaring met PLC-programmering, bijvoorbeeld in Siemens TIA Portal of Beckhoff TwinCAT - Kennis van HMI-systemen en industriële communicatie, zoals Profinet of Modbus TCP - Elektrotechnische schema's kunnen lezen en I/O-signalen kunnen controleren - Gestructureerd werken bij softwareontwikkeling, testen en storingsanalyse - Technische keuzes helder kunnen afstemmen met collega's en gebruikers Wat bieden wij jou? - Bruto m.
