Als Automation Engineer in Steenwijk richt je je op de besturing van machines en industriële processen. Bij een organisatie binnen de industriële automatisering vertaal je functionele wensen naar overzichtelijke PLC-software, bedienbare HMI-schermen en betrouwbare regelingen. Je kijkt verder dan alleen de code: ook de samenhang tussen sensoren, aandrijvingen, veiligheidsfuncties en communicatie bepaalt of een installatie goed werkt. In de dagelijkse praktijk wissel je programmeren af met testen, storingsanalyse en technisch overleg. Je stemt besturingskeuzes af met elektrotechnische en werktuigbouwkundige collega's en maakt software begrijpelijk voor de mensen die ermee werken. Daarbij besteed je aandacht aan herbruikbare softwarestructuren, duidelijke documentatie en een beheerste inbedrijfstelling. Je verdiept je vakinhoudelijk in PLC-platformen, industriële netwerken en diagnosemethoden, zodat je zowel nieuwe functionaliteit als bestaande besturingen zorgvuldig kunt aanpakken. Wat ga je doen? - Functionele wensen vertalen naar besturingslogica en een passende softwarestructuur - PLC-software en HMI-schermen ontwikkelen, testen en verbeteren - Signaaluitwisseling met sensoren, aandrijvingen en externe systemen controleren - Storingen analyseren aan de hand van meldingen, I/O-statussen en procesgegevens - Inbedrijfstellingen voorbereiden en besturingsfuncties stapsgewijs valideren - Softwarewijzigingen, testresultaten en technische keuzes documenteren Wat vragen we van jou? - Een technische opleiding in elektrotechniek, mechatronica of industriële automatisering - Ervaring met PLC-programmering, bijvoorbeeld in Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT of Rockwell - Inzicht in HMI-bediening, sequentiële besturingen en regeltechniek - Basiskennis van industriële communicatie, zoals PROFINET, EtherCAT of Modbus TCP - Vaardigheid in het lezen van elektrische schema's en het analyseren van I/O-signalen - Een gestructureerde werkwijze en het vermogen om technische keuzes..
