Als Automation Engineer bij een organisatie in de industriële automatisering in Utrecht richt je je op de besturing van machines en technische installaties. Je vertaalt functionele wensen naar overzichtelijke PLC-software en een bedienbare HMI. Daarbij kijk je verder dan de code: ook signalen vanuit het veld, procesgedrag, storingsafhandeling en onderhoudbaarheid bepalen of een besturing goed werkt. Je combineert softwareontwikkeling met het testen en verbeteren van de complete automatiseringsoplossing. In de dagelijkse praktijk stem je af met collega-engineers, monteurs en gebruikers over de werking van een installatie. Je analyseert storingen, controleert I/O en maakt technische keuzes inzichtelijk in documentatie. Tijdens het testen toets je of software en hardware samenwerken zoals bedoeld. Zo verdiep je je in besturingstechniek, industriële communicatie en het gestructureerd opleveren van betrouwbare software. Wat ga je doen? - Functionele eisen vertalen naar PLC-software en besturingslogica - HMI-schermen ontwikkelen met duidelijke bediening en storingsmeldingen - I/O-signalen, sequenties en beveiligingsvoorwaarden testen - Communicatie tussen PLC’s, veldapparatuur en bovenliggende systemen controleren - Softwarestoringen analyseren en structurele verbeteringen doorvoeren - Technische documentatie en softwareversies bijhouden - Afstemmen met elektrotechniek en montage tijdens testen en inbedrijfstelling Wat vragen we van jou? - Technische opleiding in elektrotechniek, mechatronica of industriële automatisering - Ervaring met PLC-programmering, bijvoorbeeld met Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT of Rockwell - Kennis van HMI-systemen en affiniteit met SCADA - Inzicht in industriële netwerken en protocollen zoals PROFINET, Modbus TCP of EtherNet/IP - Elektrotechnische schema’s kunnen lezen en storingen systematisch onderzoeken - Technische keuzes helder kunnen toelichten aan collega’s en gebruikers Wat bieden wij jou? - Bruto maandsalaris tussen € 3.800 en €.
