Als Automation Engineer in de industriële productie in Dieren richt je je op de besturing en betrouwbaarheid van fabrieksinstallaties. Je vertaalt procesvragen naar praktische oplossingen in PLC-software, HMI-bediening en de koppeling tussen besturing en veldapparatuur. Daarbij kijk je niet alleen naar de werking van een programma, maar ook naar storingsdiagnose, veilige bediening en onderhoudbaarheid. Zo verbind je softwareontwikkeling met wat operators en onderhoudstechnici op de werkvloer nodig hebben. In de dagelijkse praktijk wissel je programmeerwerk af met testen, analyseren en afstemmen met technische collega's. Je bespreekt aanpassingen met productie en onderhoud, controleert signalen en helpt besturingsproblemen terug te brengen tot een concrete oorzaak. Je vakinhoudelijke ontwikkeling zit in het doorgronden van productieprocessen en het verder verdiepen van je kennis van PLC-besturingen, industriële communicatie en visualisatie.
