Niet alleen door goede opvang te bieden, maar vooral door kinderen te zien, te kennen en ze dat extra zetje te geven waardoor ze verder kunnen groeien. Dichtbij is een maatschappelijke kinderopvangorganisatie en actief in de regio's Culemborg, Leerdam, Vianen. Met circa 70 locaties, een gastouderbureau en ruim 500 medewerkers is Dichtbij een grotere organisatie. En toch zit de kracht voor een belangrijk deel in iets kleins: weten wat er speelt, aandacht hebben voor elkaar en dicht bij kinderen, ouders en medewerkers blijven. Samen, Vertrouwen, Bevlogen, Nieuwsgierig en Ontwikkeling zijn de kernwaarden van Dichtbij. Ze zeggen veel over hoe er wordt gewerkt. Mensen krijgen vertrouwen in hun vakmanschap, ruimte om verantwoordelijkheid te nemen en kansen om zich te ontwikkelen. Er wordt samengewerkt, geluisterd en van elkaar geleerd. Met een groot hart voor kinderen én met de professionele kennis en kunde die nodig zijn om goede kinderopvang te bieden. Dichtbij staat midden in de samenleving en zoekt actief de samenwerking met onderwijs, gemeenten en andere maatschappelijke partners. Vanuit de overtuiging dat je samen meer kunt betekenen voor kinderen, wordt gewerkt aan sterke verbindingen en een doorgaande lijn in hun ontwikkeling. Die maatschappelijke samenwerking is een belangrijk onderdeel van de positie van Dichtbij in de regio en biedt ook voor de toekomst volop kansen.
