Elk lid van de commissie is medeverantwoordelijk voor objectieve en transparante adviezen over de haar voorgelegde bezwaarschriften. Inhoudelijk betekent je werk: - Het helder krijgen van de feiten en de inhoudelijke en procedurele context van besluiten. - Het verhelderen van standpunten en argumenten van de belanghebbende(n) en verweerder. - Het toetsen van de besluiten aan de eisen van rechtmatigheid en doelmatigheid. - Het bestuursorgaan adviseren over de beslissing op bezwaar, waarbij aandacht is voor kwaliteitsverbetering. Wie zijn wij? De commissie voor de bezwaarschriften van de gemeente Renkum is een onafhankelijke en extern samengestelde commissie die aan het college, de burgemeester en de raad adviseert over de te nemen beslissingen op bezwaarschriften. De Commissie voor de bezwaarschriften bestaat uit een algemene kamer en sociale kamer. De algemene kamer behandelt en adviseert over bezwaarschriften die niet door de sociale kamer worden behandeld, denk hierbij aan bezwaarschriften gericht tegen besluiten op gebied van openbare orde, het omgevingsrecht, verkeer, veiligheid, subsidies en de Wet open overheid. De algemene kamer adviseert niet over belastingzaken. De algemene kamer komt gemiddeld één keer per maand bijeen. De hoorzittingen van de algemene kamer vinden plaats op de maandagavond (vanaf 18:30 uur). Per vergadering is één (plaatsvervangend) voorzitter aanwezig en twee leden.
