Functieomschrijving Als Dialyseverpleegkundige op Sint-Maarten ben jij de spil in het Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). Met 12 bedden op de dialyseafdeling biedt het ziekenhuis hoogwaardige zorg aan lokale en regionale patiënten. In deze rol heb je de verantwoordelijkheid voor dialysebehandelingen, met speciale aandacht voor cardiologie. Als ervaren Dialyse Verpleegkundige ben je gewend aan zelfstandig werken, waarbij je jouw expertise inzet om optimale zorg te waarborgen. Flexibiliteit, sociale vaardigheden, en een doorzettersmentaliteit typeren jou, terwijl je je aanpast aan de lokale cultuur op Sint-Maarten. Over het Sint Maarten Medical Center Het Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) is het voornaamste ziekenhuis op Sint-Maarten, gelegen in het Nederlandse gedeelte van het eiland. Opgericht in 1991, heeft het ziekenhuis zich na de verwoestende orkaan Irma in 2017 uitgebreid. Met 80 tot 95 bedden biedt het ziekenhuis zorg aan zowel de lokale bevolking als patiënten van omliggende eilanden zoals Sint-Eustatius, Saba en Anguilla. Naast het SMMC wordt momenteel aan een gloednieuw, orkaanbestendig ziekenhuis gebouwd. Het St. Maarten General Hospital (SMGH) wordt een state-of-the-art ziekenhuis met zo'n 104 tot 110 bedden. Het zal naar verwachting eind 2027 volledig operationeel zijn. Het SMMC zal worden gesloopt en op de vrijgekomen ruimte komt o.a. een helikopterplatform voor het ontvangen van patiënten uit omliggende eilanden.
