Werken voor Zedelgem Lokaal bestuur Zedelgem is een levendige, warme en groene gemeente in het Brugse Ommeland. De technische dienst speelt een cruciale rol in de dagelijkse werking van onze gemeente. Van goed onderhouden gemeentelijke gebouwen en veilige wegen tot verzorgde groenzones en betrouwbaar technisch materiaal: het werk van de dienst is overal in Zedelgem zichtbaar. Als diensthoofd krijg jij de kans om deze veelzijdige werking mee verder uit te bouwen en samen met je team een tastbaar verschil te maken voor inwoners, collega’s en bezoekers.

Jobomschrijving

Als diensthoofd sta je aan het roer van een veelzijdige technische werking die elke dag zichtbaar is in de gemeente. Samen met je medewerkers zorg je ervoor dat gebouwen, wegen, groenvoorzieningen, voertuigen en technisch materieel goed beheerd en onderhouden worden. Je houdt het overzicht, stelt prioriteiten en zorgt ervoor dat mensen, middelen en projecten efficiënt worden ingezet. Tegelijk denk je vooruit: je vertaalt beleidsdoelstellingen naar een praktische en haalbare werking en zoekt voortdurend naar manieren om dienstverlening, samenwerking en organisatie verder te verbeteren.

Jouw uitdaging Je geeft richting aan de technische dienst en zorgt voor een goede dagelijkse werking. Daarbij combineer je leidinggeven, organiseren, plannen en technisch inzicht. Je verantwoordelijkheden situeren zich onder andere binnen:

  • gebouwenbeheer, technisch onderhoud en patrimonium;
  • aanleg en onderhoud van het openbaar domein;
  • groenbeheer en openbare ruimte;
  • wegenwerken en technische infrastructuur;
  • beheer van het wagenpark en rollend materieel;
  • magazijn- en materiaalbeheer;
  • organisatie, planning en opvolging van technische werkzaamheden;
  • samenwerking met interne diensten, externe partners en leveranciers;
  • aansturing en ondersteuning van medewerkers;
  • voorbereiding en uitvoering van technische projecten en beleidsdoelstellingen.

Je bewaakt kwaliteit, timing en middelen en zorgt ervoor dat beslissingen ook op het terrein resultaat opleveren.

Wie zoeken we? Je beschikt over een masterdiploma en hebt kennis van of een sterke affiniteit met het technische werkveld. Je bent een leidinggevende die mensen kan meenemen, maar tegelijk beslissingen durft nemen. Je communiceert duidelijk, werkt graag samen en houdt ook in een omgeving met uiteenlopende opdrachten het overzicht. Klantgerichtheid, verantwoordelijkheidszin en oplossingsgericht denken zijn voor jou vanzelfsprekend. Je bent bovendien leergierig en bereid je verder te verdiepen in de verschillende technische domeinen van een lokaal bestuur.
