Het Thomas a Kempis College in Arnhem zoekt z.s.m. een collega Klassieke Talen voor 0,4 tot 0,8 FTE. Als docent klassieke talen ben je meteen mentor van klas gymnasium 5.

Wie zijn wij? Het Thomas a Kempis College is een school voor nieuwsgierige en enthousiaste leerlingen die hard willen werken aan hun eigen succes. We bieden uitdagend onderwijs op een hoog niveau voor havo, atheneum en gymnasium+.

Wij geven leerlingen volop ruimte om hun talenten te ontdekken en te ontwikkelen. Dit doen wij door hun nieuwsgierigheid te prikkelen, betekenisvolle lessen aan te bieden en door het stimuleren van verantwoordelijkheid voor het eigen leerproces. Wij bieden leerlingen een veilige en inspirerende leeromgeving.

Wie ben jij? Wij vinden het belangrijk dat jij het vak betekenisvol maakt voor leerlingen. Je hebt een goed beeld van waar leerlingen staan en weet hoe je ze verder kunt helpen om de volgende stap te zetten, ook als mentor. Je beschikt over de didactische vaardigheden om leerlingen op verschillende manieren naar het einddoel te begeleiden. Leerlingen hebben in jouw lessen ruimte om eigen keuzes te maken.

We zoeken een collega die graag samenwerkt met anderen in onze fijne en behulpzame vakgroep. Jouw houding kenmerkt zich als proactief en oplossingsgericht. Je kijkt graag over de grenzen van je eigen vak heen en bent bereid ook op andere plekken in de school een bijdrage te leveren aan betekenisvol onderwijs. Over digitale middelen hoeven we jou niets te vertellen, kortom: Je bent ICT-vaardig.

Voor deze functie is het van belang dat je beschikt over een eerstegraads bevoegdheid of vergevorderd bent met de studie hiervoor.
