Als Duurzaamheids Engineer Beton onderzoek je innovatieve betonmengsels en ontdek je hoe de CO₂-uitstoot verder omlaag kan. Jouw ideeën maken het verschil in de verduurzaming van de bouwsector! Wat ga je doen? Als Duurzaamheids Engineer Beton werk je voor onze opdrachtgever in Wanssum aan het ontwikkelen en verbeteren van duurzame betonproducten. Deze prefab betonelementen worden gebruikt voor uiteenlopende bouwprojecten, zoals nieuwbouwwoningen, appartementencomplexen, woontorens, ziekenhuizen en andere utiliteitsgebouwen. Denk aan betonnen wanden, vloeren, kolommen, balken en complete casco's die de basis vormen van een gebouw. Je onderzoekt hoe betonmengsels milieuvriendelijker kunnen worden zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van de kwaliteit en sterkte. Hiervoor analyseer je alternatieve grondstoffen, begeleid je betontesten en werk je Life Cycle Assessments (LCA's) uit om de milieu-impact van betonproducten te bepalen. Naast het technische onderzoek richt je je op het toepassen van duurzame oplossingen in de praktijk. Je vertaalt onderzoeksresultaten naar concrete verbeteringen voor het productieproces en adviseert over nieuwe materialen. Daarbij heb je veel contact met specialisten uit het laboratorium, engineering, productie en verkoop. Ook overleg je met leveranciers over innovatieve grondstoffen en ontwikkelingen binnen de betonindustrie. Dankzij jouw analytische blik en praktische aanpak draag je direct bij aan CO₂-reductie, circulair bouwen en de verduurzaming van woning- en utiliteitsbouw.
