What are you going to do? You don’t need a specific diploma for this position, but it is important that you are technically skilled and have experience repairing or working on bicycles or scooters. A valid driver’s license is also required.
As a Street Mechanic, you will be active and on the road throughout Rotterdam. You will travel around the city to inspect electric bikes and carry out repairs directly on location. You will be the first person to assess what is wrong with a bike and, whenever possible, fix the issue immediately. This helps get the bikes back on the road as quickly as possible.
You will mainly travel around the city by bike. When necessary, you can also use a company van. This is an independent role with plenty of freedom and responsibility.
You will receive on-the-job training to become familiar with the hardware and technology behind the electric bikes. You will learn how to identify and solve both mechanical and electrical issues.
Your responsibilities include: - Inspecting and testing electric bikes on location; - Carrying out repairs directly on the street; - Identifying and solving mechanical and electrical issues; - Working with operations software; - Registering maintenance and repairs using a PC or tablet; - Following safety and quality standards; - Using the company van when necessary.
This is an active and independent position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a technical mindset and likes being on the move throughout the day.
