The posting

Onze klant is een grote speler op vlak van logistiek. Zij behandelen wegtransport, luchtvracht en zeevracht.

De vestiging in Antwerpen behandelt alles wat betreft ocean freight. De ruim 100 medewerkers zetten zich alle dagen in om een zo goed mogelijke service te kunnen bieden! Zij zitten per 4 collega's aan een eiland, verdeeld over 2 verdiepingen. De sfeer op de werkvloer is rustig, soms hectisch, maar zeer aangenaam. Er wordt goed samengewerkt, maar ook zeker regelmatig gelachen.

Elke 2 weken wordt er een fruitkistje op de afdelingen geleverd. Daarnaast kun je werken in een glijdend uurrooster, zijn er verschillende mogelijkheden om jezelf te ontwikkelen en worden abonnementen op de toltunnel en waterbus volledig vergoed.

Jobomschrijving

Binnen de Industrial Projects afdeling organiseren wij alle zendingen voor onze klanten die buiten de gebaande paden vallen. Dit maakt ons werk dynamisch maar tegelijkertijd ook ingewikkeld én veelomvattend. Wij zijn een klein gespecialiseerd team binnen DHL Global Forwarding dat op zoek is naar een nieuwe collega. Als Forwarding Project Specialist ben je verantwoordelijk voor het voorbereiden en regelen van zendingen, het bevestigen van afspraken en het informeren van klanten over de voortgang van het operationele proces.

Je volgt je expeditiedossiers van A tot Z op, van vertrek tot aankomst en gaat telkens op zoek naar de beste transportmodi voor je klant (zowel zeevracht, luchtvracht als baanvracht).

Je hebt hierbij contacten met scheepsagenturen, transporteurs, klanten...

Daarnaast ben je ook actief bezig met acquisitie en salesactiviteiten en zorg je ervoor dat alle administratieve taken correct en tijdig worden afgehandeld.

Je hebt een uitgebreide kennis van zee- en luchtvracht, alsook kennis van douanezaken en gerelateerde documentatie.

Je kan je zowel mondeling als schriftelijk goed uitdrukken in zowel het Nederlands, Frans en Engels.

Je bent kostenbewust en resultaatgericht, wat betekent dat je in staat bent om zendingen tegen een maximaal resultaat te transporteren.

Integriteit en sterke rekenkundige vaardigheden zijn ook belangrijk, omdat je zorgvuldig moet omgaan met grote bedragen.

Je moet het vermogen hebben om eventuele problemen bij het regelen van transporten op te lossen.

Een hoge mate van nauwkeurigheid is van essentieel belang bij het vastleggen van afspraken op operationeel en financieel gebied.

Het kan voorkomen dat je incidenteel onder grote tijdsdruk moet werken, dus het is belangrijk dat je goed kunt presteren in stressvolle situaties.

Het is belangrijk dat je bekend bent met verschillende computerapplicaties en goede telefonische en e-mailvaardigheden hebt.
