Functieomschrijving Als Specialist Ouderengeneeskunde ben je dé medische expert in de ouderenzorg. Je hebt de verantwoordelijkheid voor het welzijn en de medische zorg van oudere patiënten. Dit omvat het stellen van diagnoses, opstellen en uitvoeren van behandelplannen, en coördineren van multidisciplinaire zorg. Je hebt een integrale rol in het bieden van kwalitatieve zorg aan ouderen, zowel in verpleeghuizen als in de thuissituatie. Als Specialist Ouderengeneeskunde combineer je medische kennis met een empathische benadering om de levenskwaliteit van oudere patiënten te verhogen. Over het Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH) op Aruba Het Horacio Oduber Hospital is een modern algemeen met 172 bedden, gelegen op het prachtige Aruba. Met ruim 900 medewerkers en 20 verschillende specialismen biedt het HOH hoogwaardige zorg aan zowel de lokale bevolking als de vele toeristen die dagelijks het eiland bezoeken. Het ziekenhuis, onlangs gemoderniseerd en uitgebreid, verwelkomt regelmatig personeel uit Nederland, wat de overgang naar deze exotische werkomgeving soepel maakt.
