Volg de opleiding tot geriatrieverpleegkundige bij het Diakonessenhuis en draag bij aan de verdere ontwikkeling van de geriatrische traumatologie en geriatrische zorg binnen ons ziekenhuis. Dit ga je doen Als geriatrieverpleegkundige in opleiding ontwikkel je je tot verpleegkundige met specifieke expertise in de zorg voor kwetsbare oudere patiënten. Je combineert de theoretische opleiding aan de Amstel Academie in Amsterdam of Nijmegen met je werk op de afdeling Chirurgie. Afhankelijk van je ervaring werk je eerst 6 tot 12 maanden voor op de afdeling. Tijdens de opleiding verdiep je je in geriatrische zorg en leer je hoe je kwetsbare ouderen, waaronder patiënten met een traumagerelateerde opname, optimaal kunt begeleiden. Daarnaast denk je mee over het verbeteren van de zorg voor kwetsbare ouderen en het verkorten van de ligduur van patiënten. Hier kom je te werken Je komt te werken op de afdeling Chirurgie, waar patiënten worden opgenomen voor onder andere geriatrische traumatologie, vaatchirurgie en mammacare. Een groot deel van onze patiënten bestaat uit kwetsbare ouderen. Je wordt onderdeel van een hecht en deskundig team waarin collega's voor elkaar klaarstaan. De sfeer is warm, professioneel, met korte lijnen en weinig hiërarchie. Je werkt nauw samen met een verpleegkundig specialist Geriatrische Trauma en andere betrokken disciplines. Binnen het team is veel aandacht voor ontwikkeling. Zo krijg je de ruimte om je verder te verdiepen in geriatrische zorg en deel te nemen aan scholingen, symposia en vakinhoudelijke bijeenkomsten.
