Je wordt opgeleid tot high care neonatologieverpleegkundige. In deze functie verleen je hoogcomplexe verpleegkundige zorg aan prematuren en zieke pasgeborenen. Jij bewaakt hun vitale functies onder snel wisselende omstandigheden. De opleiding bestaat uit theorie en praktijk. Het theoretische deel volg je bij de UMC-Academie. Dit deel bestaat uit meerdere thema's en vaardigheidstrainingen. Daarnaast werk je in ons geboortecentrum op de afdeling neonatologie, waar je de geleerde theorie direct toepast in de praktijk. Je wordt natuurlijk niet meteen in het diepe gegooid. We werken met een goede opbouw in de complexiteit van zorg die je verleent én je wordt begeleid door ervaren collega's (werkbegeleiders en de praktijkopleider). In totaal duurt de opleiding 12-15 maanden (afhankelijk van je dienstverband, wat minimaal 24 uur moet bedragen). De opleiding zelf start op verschillende momenten en op basis van beschikbaarheid start je met voorwerken. Tijdens deze voorwerkperiode bekijken we samen of je de benodigde startcompetenties voldoende ontwikkeld hebt om de opleiding te kunnen starten.
